
You can view the CPU usage, the free disk space and the maximum and total system memory utilization of the operating system via the monitors in the Operating System block.
CPU Usage - shows the average CPU usage aggregated for all systems as well as the maximum CPU usage of a particular system.
Free Space - shows the percentage of the free hard disk space on your system. It displays info about the hard disk which has less space from all.
Memory Utilization - shows the memory utilization of the system's physical and virtual memory.
Paging - shows the activity of the operating system pages. That is, it displays the sum of Pages In and Pages Out from the memory of your system.
You have started SAP NetWeaver Administrator and use the System Overview application.
Viewing CPU Usage
You can view the current status of your CPU work. You have the following options:
To view the history chart, choose View History .
The History Reports tool is opened where you can view (and configure) the DefaultReport chart.
If the gauge light is yellow or red, it indicates that you CPU usage is too high and may cause a problem. To resolve it, proceed as follows:
Investigate which OS process is causing the high CPU usage.
If it is not important for your AS Java, kill or stop the process.
If the process is important or part of the AS Java, determine the exact reason for the high CPU usage.
To change the monitor alert colors, choose Configure Thresholds .
The Monitor Browser tool is opened and within the Monitor Configuration area, you can modify the color thresholds.
Viewing Disk Space
You can view the current disk free space on your system. For detailed information, proceed as follows:
To view the available total and free disk space on your working instances, choose View Disk Details from the context menu.
The Monitor Browser tool is opened where you can see detailed information.
To view the history report of this monitor, choose View History from the context menu.
The History Reports tool is opened where you can see the monitor chart.
To configure the monitor's thresholds, choose Configure Thresholds from the context menu.
The Monitor Browser tool is opened where you can change the relevant color settings.
Viewing Memory Utilization
If there is high memory usage of your system, the CPU Usage gauge is red or yellow. The following options are available from the monitor's context menu:
To resolve the problem, choose View Engine Performance Statistics .
The System Performance Statistics application is opened where you can investigate and resolve the problem.
To view the monitor history chart, choose View History .
