Testing the HelloWorld ApplicationLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

Make sure that WS Navigator is allowed to access the system on which you run your Web service.

Context

You can test the application using Web Services Navigator (WS Navigator). It allows you to test your Web service without having a Web service client for it.

Procedure

  1. Open SAP NetWeaver Administrator on your AS Java.
  2. Choose Start of the navigation path SOA  Next navigation step Application and Scenario Communication  Next navigation step Single Service Administration End of the navigation path.
  3. Choose the Service Definitions tab.
  4. In the Find field enter hello and choose Go .
  5. Select the relevant Web service you want to test and then choose the WSDLs tab.
  6. Choose Test .

    The Web Service Navigator tool is opened.

  7. Choose Next .
  8. In the Input Parameters step, in the name field, enter your name, (deselect the Skip box ) and then choose Next .
  9. On the Result step, you preview your input parameters and the result.

Results

The Web service output is displayed in the WS Navigator.
