Restoring Default SettingsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Context

You can choose to restore the default device group settings at any time. Restoring the default settings affects all device groups and their user agent definitions, and deletes any customizations that you may have made.

There are three default device groups: Desktop , Smartphone , and Tablet , each with its own default type and user agent definitions.

Caution

Make sure that you are not using any customized device groups in a rule collection; otherwise the related rules may no longer work.

Procedure

  1. In the portal, navigate to Start of the navigation path System Administration Next navigation step System Configuration Next navigation step Portal Display Next navigation step Device Group Manager End of the navigation path.
  2. In the Device Group Manager, choose Restore Default .
  3. In the displayed message box, choose Restore . The device groups are restored to their default settings.
    Note

If one of the device groups is currently used in a rule collection, a message is displayed recommending you to first modify the rule collection. Choose Cancel to cancel the restore default process, or choose Restore to go ahead and restore the defaults even though there is one or more device groups in use in a rule collection.
