Context Builder in ABAP WorkbenchLocate this document in the navigation structure

Contexts are obsolete and should not be used. Contexts were introduced in Release 4.0 for high-performance access to frequently required data. Since the introduction of ABAP Objects for Release 4.5, contexts have not been developed further. Since Release 6.40, contexts can be replaced by shared objects .

Normally, you use existing contexts within your system, and only use Context Builder to familiarize yourself with them and test them (see Finding and Displaying a Context ). However, if no suitable context already exists in the system, you can use Context Builder to create your own.

This section describes how to use Context Builder (transaction SE33) in ABAP Workbench.
