In transaction SCOT, in the menu , you can maintain the codepage presettings on the Def. Codepage for Send Type tab page. The codepage settings that you make here are used for outbound documents. If, for example, an outbound text e-mail contains special characters, the codepage saved for the send type INT is used.
Furthermore, you can save additional codepages for each document language on the Language-Dependent Codepages tab page. If the Use Language-Dependent Codepages flag is set on the Def. Codepage for Send Type tab page, the codepage is searched for using the document language. If a codepage is saved for the document language, this is used and overrides the default codepage for the corresponding send type. If no codepage is saved for the document language, the default codepage is used for the corresponding send type.
1. In SAPconnect administration (transaction SCOT), choose .
Maintain the default codepage for each send type and, if necessary, activate the additional use of language-dependent codepages.
On the Language-Dependent Codepages tab page, maintain the codepage for each document language.
Confirm the dialog box.
