Configuring the Archiving Retention ServiceLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

You have the System Admin portal role assigned to your user.

Context

You can configure the system-defined retention period which is used in case the content administrator has not specified a custom retention period when marking the object for archiving.

Procedure

  1. In the portal, navigate to Start of the navigation path System Administration Next navigation step System Configuration Next navigation step Content Management Next navigation step Global Services Next navigation step (Show Advanced Options) Next navigation step ArchivingRetentionService End of the navigation path, and then choose Edit .
  2. Configure the parameters of the service as follows:
    • To configure the system-defined retention period, specify the required period in years in the Retention Period input field.

      Note

      The entry must be a positive integer greater than zero.

    • To activate or deactivate the service, choose Show Advanced Options , and then select or deselect the Active parameter.

Results

The archiving retention service is activated and preconfigured in the standard delivery.
