Customizing E-mail NotificationsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Context

Use this procedure if you want to customize the content of the e-mail notification sent to subscribers.

Procedure

  1. Launch the Enterprise Services Repository start page using http://<server>:<port>/rep and choose Administration .
  2. Enter the user name and password and log on to the tool.
  3. From the Repository tab page, choose Customize Notification Template .
  4. Choose the language in which you want to modify the template.
    Note

    • Modifications made to a template in one language will not reflect in other languages.

    • Modifications made to a template will reflect only for the users who have the same language set as their preferred language in the UME. If the preferred language set in the UME is not one of the options provided above, then the language of notification defaults to English

    For example, the users preferred language in the UME is set to English and you modify the template in German. Then, the users continue to receive notifications in English without the updates you made to the German template.

  5. Edit the HTML template based on your requirements.
    Note

    You can only rearrange or delete the tags in the default template. Creation of new tags is not supported.

    The list of tags supported, with their description, and values is as follows:

  6. After editing the template, choose Preview to view the changes made in an e-mail format.
  7. If you want to save the changes made to the template, choose Save .
  8. If you want to undo the changes made to the template, choose Cancel .
  9. If you want to undo all changes made to the template and return to the default template provided by SAP, choose Restore Default .
