Prerequisites
Installation

To display Crystal Reports layouts, you must have installed the necessary components locally (including Crystal Reports Viewer for SAP Business Suite Applications.

You must use the Crystal Reports Designer (Crystal Reports 2008 SP2 or higher) to be able to create Crystal Report layouts of your own. Take note of the valid license conditions for using SAP BusinessObjects.

General Prerequisites

This functions requires SAPGUI for Microsoft Windows.

This function is only available for SAP List Viewer for SAP GUI (ALV Grid), Web Dynpro ABAP ALV, and POWER lists.

You need Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or higher to display Crystal Reports in Web Dynpro ABAB ALV.

Customizing Using Crystal Reports Layouts

In Customizing you specify that users can displayed data shown in ALV using Crystal Reports layout. You have to set this up separately for SAP List Viewer for SAP GUI (ALV Grid) and Web Dynpro ABAP ALV in Customizing for SAP NetWeaver:

Note

These settings are client-specific. Therefore you can define for each client if users can use Crystal Report Layouts.

Managing Generic Crystal Report Layouts

You can upload generic Crystal Report Layouts of your own, download or delete existing Crystal Report Layouts, and specify the system guidelines.

You manage generic Crystal Reports layouts in SAP NetWeaver Customizing:

Note

You need the correct authorization to import and export layouts (authorization object S_GUI).

Application

To display lists with Crystal Report Layouts, you must set up the following:

  • In SAP List Viewer for SAP GUI Start of the navigation path Settings Next navigation step Layout Next navigation step Change End of the navigation path. On the View tab select Crystal Reports as your preferred view.

  • In Web Dynpro ABAP ALV choose Settings, and on the Display tab set Crystal Reports as your preferred view.

Note

You need the relevant authorizations to save ALV layouts (authorization object S_ALV_LAYO).
