MIME Types for Online Preview
Documents of certain MIME types can be displayed in a preview window.
The preview window is offered by particular layout controllers .
You can use the following parameters to define the MIME types for online preview:

The MIME type patterns for which online preview is possible are already entered in the standard configuration.
To specify further MIME types or MIME type patterns to be displayed in the online preview, choose Content Management → User Interface → Preview.
Note that the appropriate application software needs to be installed on the user's PC in order for the display to work in the preview window.
On the client PC, you should also check the system settings for displaying certain file types (for example, doc, ppt, and xls) in the browser. To do this, in WINDOWS, open the Explorer and choose the menu path Tools → Folder Options. On the File Types tab page, choose the file type that is to be displayed in the preview pane. Choose Advanced and activate the parameter Browse in same window. Repeat this procedure for all other files types that are to be displayed in the preview pane. However, the procedure for activating this parameter is not the same for all file types.
