Enabling the Archiving Approval ProcessLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

You have the System Admin portal role assigned to your user.

The archiving notification service is up and running.

The notificator service is active. For more information, see Notificator Service .

The inbox service is active. For more information, see Inbox Service .

Context

Use this procedure to enable the archiving approval process in a decentralized Knowledge Management and Collaboration (KMC) data archiving scenario.

You need to specify the repositories for which you want to enable the archiving approval process in the configuration of the Archiving Global Service .

Procedure

  1. In the portal, navigate to Start of the navigation path System Administration Next navigation step System Configuration Next navigation step Content Management Next navigation step Global Services Next navigation step Show Advanced Options End of the navigation path.
  2. Choose Archiving Global Service , and then choose Edit .
  3. In the Repositories with approval parameter, select the repositories for which you want to enable the archiving approval process.
  4. Choose OK to save your entries.
  5. In the Component Monitor, check if the archiving notification service is active.
    1. In the portal, navigate to Start of the navigation path System Administration Next navigation step Support Next navigation step Component Monitor Next navigation step Services End of the navigation path.

    2. In the list of services, locate the archivingNotification service entry and check its status. For more information about the statuses of the services in the Component Monitor, see: Component Monitor .

    3. In case the object is not available or its configuration has errors, restart Application Server Java (AS Java).
