Managing Physical SystemsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

Services Registry allows you to collect and store information about the systems on which the registered Web services reside. You can add new systems, modify system parameters, and delete systems as necessary. Each system possesses the following properties:

  • System Type

    Type of the system. You can choose between ABAP , Java , IS ( Integration Server ), ESR ( Enterprise Services Repository ), or another non-SAP system type.

  • Name

    Name of the system.

  • Host

    Host name of the system.

  • SLD System ID

    Identifier of the system in System Landscape Directory .

  • ABAP Client

    For systems of ABAP type you need to specify the ABAP client to be used.

Prerequisites
  • Services Registry has been configured. More information: Configuring the Services Registry

  • The user account you use to manage systems is assigned to the SERVICES_REGISTRY_READ_WRITE and also to one of the UDDI_TierN or UDDI_Admin roles.

Procedure

Accessing Physical Systems

  1. Open the central Services Registry using the following address: http://<hostname>:<port>/sr_central

  2. Choose the Systems tab.

Adding a Physical System

  1. Choose the New button.

  2. Enter a name for the new system and its host name.

    If you know the identifier of the system in System Landscape Directory , you can enter it in the SLD System ID field.

  3. Choose a system type.

    If you choose ABAP , you need to specify the ABAP client to be used.

  4. Choose OK .

Editing a Physical System

  1. Choose a system from the list.

  2. Choose the Edit button.

  3. Edit the system properties.

  4. Choose OK .

Deleting a Physical System

  1. Choose a system from the list.

  2. Choose the Delete button.

  3. Choose OK to confirm.
