Connector API |
New |
Using this new API, UWL enables you to create a connector from the UWL to your own tasks and notifications in different systems. The UWL uses this connector to localize the different systems and collects the corresponding information, such as tasks. The UWL provides you with central access to the tasks, notifications, and other information in the Enterprise Portal. You perform general procedures such as viewing, forwarding, and executing tasks in the same way for all connected systems. For more information, see Configuring the Universal Worklist . |
Overview of All Entries |
New |
The UWL gives you an overview of all entries such as tasks, alerts, notifications, and tracking. You switch to the normal view of the selected task in the worklist by means of links. To display the overview, when you configure the iView, activate the Display UWL overview page parameter. For more information, see Configuring iView Properties . |
Subscribing to Alert Categories |
New |
In the UWL, you have the option of subscribing to specific alert categories. If any alerts occur for the selected categories, these are automatically transferred to the UWL. Using the same function, you can also unsubscribe from any alert categories you have subscribed to. For more information, see Configuring Alerts in UWL . |
Create Task API |
New |
Using this API, you can generate collaboration tasks from other applications. With this API you can specify an application that is called by the collaboration task in the universal worklist. The API only supports Web Dynpro applications. For more information, see Using the createTask API . |
Configuring the UWL |
Enhanced |
You can now configure the UWL in a much more convenient manner. For more information, see Configuring the Universal Worklist . |
Launch the Process List from the UWL |
New |
You can open the process list via a Process List Viewer link in the Related Links pane of the universal worklist. For more information, see Adding the Process List Viewer as a Related Link . |
UWL Cache Switch Off |
New |
You can switch off and on the UWL cache for each UWL system. You can easily do this by checking a checkbox in the UWL configuration at the corresponding UWL connector. There you can also see whether the cache is used or not by the UWL system. For more information, see Switching off the UWL Cache . |
SAP Office Notifications in the UWL |
New |
In the UWL you can receive, read, forward, and delete mails sent to you using SAP Business Workplace (transaction SBWP) using the SAP Office Mails tab page. In the UWL, you can also retrieve the notifications' attachments. To connect SAP Office Mail to the universal worklist (UWL) a special connector (SONIC connector) is introduced. For more information, see: |
Custom Attributes Loading |
New |
You can configure for which connectors the custom attributes are synchronously retrieved with the pull of items for that connector. For more information, see: |
Real Time Refresh Upon Task Completion |
New |
When a user completes or changes a SAP Business Workflow item, the item is refreshed in both, the back end and also automatically in the UWL without the need of a manual refresh. |
Role-based Versioning |
New |
Role-based versioning allows the effective configuration to be determined on the base of the role or group the current user is assigned to. The XML configuration is assigned to a particular role or group by assigning a value to the principal element's attribute unique ID. When the current user is also assigned to this group or role, it is matched at runtime and the respective configuration is the effective one. For more information, see Principals . |
CCMS Monitoring Support |
New |
The UWL provides the CCMS with heartbeat and application-specific monitoring data, such as connected systems and logged on users. |
