Closing All Portal Session WindowsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

You can configure the portal to close all open portal windows when a portal user chooses Log Off in the masthead.

Depending on the value specified in the Close All Windows - Interval property described below, there might be a delay between the time that the user logs off the portal and the time that the external windows close.

You perform these configuration steps in SAP NetWeaver Administrator. For information about accessing services in SAP NetWeaver Administrator, see Accessing Portal Services in SAP NetWeaver Administrator .

Note

Make sure that you restart services after making changes.

Procedure
  1. In SAP NetWeaver Administrator, go to the Application Modules page.

  2. In the Module List area, select com.sap.portal.navigation.helperservice .

  3. In the Web Module Details area, select navigation_events_helper .

  4. In the Full Details area, set the following properties:

    • Close All Windows : Determines whether to close all of the open portal windows in the session when the user logs off.

    • Close All Windows - Interval : Specify how often to check whether a user has logged off the portal. This property is only relevant if the Close All Windows property is set to Yes . Value is in milliseconds.

    • Close All Windows - Use Secure Cookie : Set this property to true if your system uses HTTPS.

Note

To close portal windows that use the Light Framework Page , you need to first change the EPCFLevel property on the Light Framework Page :

  1. In the Portal Catalog, choose Start of the navigation path Portal Content Next navigation step Portal Users Next navigation step Standard Portal Users End of the navigation path.

  2. Open the Light Framework Page . In the Page Editor, choose Light Desktop Innerpage and choose Open .

  3. From the link bar, choose Properties , and then choose All to view the full list of properties.

  4. Choose Modify Properties .

  5. Locate the EPCFLevel property and change the value to 1 .
