Configuring TracesLocate this document in the navigation structure

Context

If errors occur in SAPconnect when sending or receiving documents, you can set a trace to investigate the cause of the problem.

Procedure

  1. Call SAPconnect administration (SCOT).
  2. Choose Start of the navigation path Utilities Next navigation step Trace Settings End of the navigation path.
  3. In the relevant dropdown listbox, specify Only Switch Trace On/Off for Errors for the areas for which the trace is to be set:
    • Outcome

    • Inbound Channel

    • Global (non message-specific processes)

    • Confirm the dialog box.

Results

The actions in the specified areas are logged. You can display and analyze a trace in the SAP System. In addition, you can store a trace in a file on your PC and, for example, process it further in a spreadsheet program or send it to the SAP Hotline for further analysis when trying to find the cause of an error.
