Use

You can use the PCD Repository Manager to display objects in the Portal Content Directory (PCD) in Knowledge Management.

Integration

The PCD Repository Manager is used in KM when searching for portal pages and iViews. The objects found using the portalRolesSearch index service in the PCD cache are converted to KM objects and can be displayed in the search results list.

For more information, see Configuring the Search for Portal Pages and iViews .

Features

Read access is possible through the repository manager. Actions that can be executed in the Portal Content Directory are not possible through the repository manager.

Activities

A preconfigured PCD repository manager is part of the standard delivery. You cannot create any more repository managers.

To call up the configuration of the PCD repository manager, choose Content Management → Repository Managers → PCD Repository.

Caution

To index the PCD repository, always choose the Portal Roles Search service. Do not choose the services TREX Search or TREX Search and Classification, because these services index the entire PCD. Thus, the search results would also contain iViews and portal pages that are not part of the role of the logged-on user. This ensures error-free navigation.
