Change Locks

Use

If you are editing a changelist or a change version in a changelist, a change lock is automatically set. Only you can work on it and other users are locked from accessing it. As soon as you complete your change and the changelist is activated or deleted, the lock is released and another user can access it again. This avoids version conflicts.

Caution

As an administrator in SAP NetWeaver Administrator you can remove change locks manually. This can lead to version conflicts. For information on what to do with a hanging lock, see SAP Note 1451273 Information published on SAP site .
