Background documentationMulti View Child View Customizing Screen

You use this Customizing screen to define embedded Master Data Planning (MDP) views in a parent multi view. Each embedded view becomes a tab page inside the parent Multi View. Selection criteria of the parent multi view are automatically shared with identical selection criteria of embedded child views.

Activities

When you define the child views, you have to make the following settings on this Customizing screen:

  • Embedded View ID: View name to be embedded in current multi view. The embedded view must be a single MDP view (tabular, assignment or browse and collect). The embedded view is displayed as a new tab page in the horizontal tab strip of the multi view.

  • Sequence Number: Sequence number of the view in the view list. It is used to sort all views in the initial MDP view list screen.

  • Save Before Exit: When this indicator is checked, it displays a dialog box asking you to save any modification before exiting the current embedded view. After the save action is completed, all embedded views reload their results from the database to record the modifications. If you do not save, all modifications are lost and the results are not reloaded.

  • Save Before Enter: When this indicator is checked, it displays a dialog box asking you to save any modification before accessing the current embedded view. After the save action is completed, all embedded views reload their results from the database to record the modifications. If you do not save, all modifications are lost and the results are not reloaded.
