Response Time and Requests Queue AdministrationLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

The Requests Queue function within the ICM pane allows you to view the number of user requests that are waiting for processing by the system.

The Response Time represents time (in milliseconds) between the call of the send method and the actual writing of the message in the socket. More information: Monitoring Cluster Manager

Prerequisites

You have started SAP NetWeaver Administrator and use the System Overview application.

Procedure

Resolving Request Problems

If the Request Queue traffic light is red, that indicates a problem in processing requests by the AS Java. To detect the problem, follow the steps:

  1. Choose Request Queue , and from the context menu choose Administrate ICM .

  2. The Web Administration Interface tool is opened.

Resolving Response Time Problems

If the narrows showing the flow from ICM to the AS Java are red and animated, that indicates huge response time. To resolve the problem, follow the steps:

  1. Choose Response Time , and from the context menu choose View AS Java Performance Statistics .

  2. The System Performance Statistics tool is opened.

  3. In the Call List screen are, filter the table by Response Time .

  4. Identify which calls consume huge response time.

    The Action Type column shows the application or service that causes this issue.

  5. Investigate the reason.
