Deleting Data with an Expired Retention PeriodLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

You have the System Admin portal role assigned to your user.

Context

As a system administrator, you can trigger the deletion of the archived KMC data whose retention period has expired. To do so, use the Retention Management report. You can either trigger the deletion of KMC archiving objects with an expired retention period immediately, or define a schedule for the execution of the report.

Procedure

  1. In the portal, navigate to Start of the navigation path System Administration Next navigation step System Configuration Next navigation step Knowledge Management Next navigation step Content Management End of the navigation path.
  2. In the navigation panel, choose Start of the navigation path Related Links Next navigation step Archiving Tools Next navigation step Trigger Archiving Next navigation step Retention Management End of the navigation path.
  3. Choose Start and specify a name for the report.
  4. On the Commands tab page, choose Delete Expired .
  5. Choose Start .

Results

The report deletes all archived KMC archiving objects whose retention period has expired.
