Configuring Remote Function Call Connectivity to User AccountsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

You create and assign user accounts that use remote function call connectivity (RFC connectivity) for RFC connectivity enabled connections to provider systems.

Procedure

On the Connectivity Type step, enter the following settings:

  1. In the Authentication dropdown menu, enter one of the following options.

    • Current User (Logon Ticket)

      If you set a business user authentication level to the service reference during the design time, choose this option to enable Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication to the user account. The system uses SAP Logon Ticket as an SSO mechanism.

    • Technical User

      If you set technical user authentication level to the service reference during the design time, choose this option to set user name and password authentication to the user account.

    • Current User (Assertion Ticket)

      If you set a business user authentication level to the service reference during the design time, choose this option to enable Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication to the user account. The system uses Assertion Tickets as an SSO mechanism.

    • User Mapping

      Choose this option to set UME authentication to the user account.

  2. Enter user name and password in the provided fields to authenticate on the provider system.

  3. In the Language field, enter the logon language to the provider system. Enter the ISO code of the language which you want to use.

  4. In the Target System field, enter the name of the provider system for which you create the user account.
