
If you do not want to use the CTC Wizard to perform the basic configuration steps, you need to perform these steps manually. These steps are described in the sections below.
Before you perform the basic configuration steps for usage type PI manually, ensure that the usage type AS Java has first been configured. Usage type AS Java is used to configure the System Landscape Directory (SLD). The SLD is needed for some configuration steps for usage type PI.

To check that the connection between the Integration Server and the SLD has been established, use transaction SLDCHECK. The transaction displays a log that shows the current configuration data, the function test results, errors, and notes for checking. |
