Use

In portal on device, the Launch in New Window property enables you to determine whether a navigation node opens within the portal content area, in a new portal window, or in a new browser window.

The following table describes the property values that can be used in portal on device, and explains when to use each value:

Display in Portal Content Area

Content item is displayed within the portal content area. The standard capabilities of the mobile framework page are available, such as the header and back button functionality.

Use this value for content that is adapted for display in a mobile UI.

Display in Separate Headerless Portal Window

Content item is displayed in a new portal window. You can use zooming gestures and you can close the window. When you close the window, you return to the standard portal on device framework page.

Use this value for content that has not been adapted for display in a mobile UI, and requires zooming capabilities.

Display in Separate Window

Content item is displayed in a new browser window, in full screen mode, without the capabilities of the mobile framework page. When you close the window, you return to the standard portal on device framework page.

Use this value for content that should not be run within an iFrame.

Display in separate headerless portal window (viewport)

Content is displayed in a new browser window that contains the viewport meta tag in the HTML header.

When an application that uses the viewport meta tag is placed inside an iFrame, the device does not apply the tag.

Use this value for content that already contains the viewport meta tag.
