Adding a Condition in a Decision TableLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

You can add more conditions to a decision table. You can add a vertical condition, horizontal condition or an other condition.

Procedure

Add a Vertical Condition

  1. In the Rules Navigator view, expand the project node and select the ruleset or flow ruleset.

  2. Under the Decision Tables section, select the decision table and choose Open .

  3. Choose Condition Start of the navigation path Add Vertical Condition End of the navigation path.

  4. In the Add Vertical Conditions dialog box that appears, select the conditions (use Ctrl key for multiple selections) and choose Add .

    Note

    You can change the order of a condition by selecting it and choosing the Move Up or Move Down button as required.

  5. Choose Ok .

Add a Horizontal Condition

  1. In the Rules Navigator view, expand the project node and select the ruleset or flow ruleset.

  2. Under the Decision Tables section, select the decision table and choose Open .

  3. Choose Condition Start of the navigation path Add Horizontal Condition End of the navigation path.

  4. In the Add Horizontal Conditions dialog box that appears, select the conditions and choose Add .

  5. Choose Ok .

Add an Other Condition

  1. In the Rules Navigator view, expand the project node and select the ruleset or flow ruleset.

  2. Under the Decision Tables section, select the decision table and choose Open .

  3. Choose Condition Start of the navigation path Add Other Condition End of the navigation path.

  4. In the context menu of a cell in the other condition column, choose Edit Value .

  5. In the editor that appears, choose Add new condition and edit the condition.

  6. Choose the Apply button.

    To add more conditions, in the context menu of a cell in the other condition column, choose Add Value .

    Note

    You can delete a condition by choosing Delete in the context menu of a condition cell.
