Configuring the Use of Logon Screens Adapted for Mobile DevicesLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

When accessing the portal with a smartphone or tablet device, portal on device uses logon screens that are adapted for display on a mobile device. The use of these logon screens is configured using the Logon Screen per Device property in SAP NetWeaver Administrator.

Note

To use the logon screens that are adapted for use on mobile devices, you must make sure that in the Device Group Manager there are device groups defined for use with the device types smartphone and tablet . For more information, see Using Device Groups .

Prerequisites

  • You are assigned the Super Admin role or the NWA_SUPERADMIN role

Procedure

  1. In SAP NetWeaver Administrator, navigate to Start of the navigation path Configuration Next navigation step Infrastructure Next navigation step Application Modules End of the navigation path.

  2. In the Module List table, search for and select com.sap.portal.deviceservices .

  3. In the Web Module Details table, search for and select DeviceDetectorHook .

  4. In the Portal Service Details table, set the value of the Logon Screen per Device property to true .

  5. Restart the DeviceDetectorHookService .

You can change the logon screen to reflect the look and feel of your company, in the same way as you can with other AS Java logon screens. For more information, see Developing a Custom Logon Screen .
