Use

The application log is a tool that collects messages, exceptions, and errors. This information is organized and displayed in a log.

Prerequisites
Note

The documentation describes the application log after release 4.6. It is no longer recommended to use function modules from previous releases (before release 4.6). These still exist in the system (naming convention APPL_LOG_*) however after release 4.6 then call the new functions modules (BAL_*) in the system.

Features

You can display logs and save them in or delete them from the database.

You can get the following information:

  • Basic header information (log type, created by/on, and so on).

  • Message long text

  • Detailed information

  • Technical information

Activities

Call transaction SLG1 ( Analyze Application Log ) and SLG2 ( Application Log: Delete Expired Logs ).
