Integrating SAP GUI for Windows in a Portal iViewLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

The AS ABAP is configured to accept and verify logon tickets.

Context

To enable Single Sign-On (SSO) for SAP shortcuts, you must create and configure a portal iView that users of SAP GUI can use to launch a transaction on the target SAP NetWeaver Application Server (AS) ABAP system.

Procedure


  1. In the portal, create a system object for the target AS ABAP system you want to integrate and choose a system alias for the system object.

  2. Create an iView using the SAP Transaction iView template.

    1. In the portal, choose Start of the navigation path Content Administration Next navigation step Portal Content End of the navigation path.

    2. In the context menu of the folder in the Content Catalog, in which you want to create the iView, choose Start of the navigation path New Next navigation step iView End of the navigation path.

    3. In the iView wizard, choose SAP Transaction iView, then Next.

    4. Enter the iView name, then choose Next.

    5. Choose SAP GUI for Windows, then choose Next.

    6. In the System field, choose the system alias for the system object you created in step 1, enter a transaction code, then choose Next.

    7. Choose Finish.

  3. Assign the iView to a role and assign the role to AS ABAP users.

Results

Portal users can launch transactions on the target AS ABAP system from the portal iView.
