Delete Maintenance DialogLocate this document in the navigation structure

Procedure

To delete a generated maintenance dialog from the system, delete the generated elements using the maintenance transaction.

Enter the table or view name and select Generated Objects on the maintenance transaction initial screen. Choose Delete. A dialog box, in which you can mark the elements you want to delete, appears:

  • Maintenance modules

You can delete function modules independently of the control entry and the maintenance screens.

  • Entry in table or view directory (control entry)

You can delete the control entry only if you also delete the function modules and maintenance screens.

  • Overview screen and individual screen (if there is one)

You can delete maintenance screens independently of the control entry and function modules.

  • Maintenance object description

The system deletes all information (header, object list, subobjects, and so on).

  • Entries in directory Events (if there is one)

Events table entries are deleted. The event program code is retained.

  • Variants (if there are any)

    Any existing variants are deleted.

  • Function group

The system offers this option only if the function group contains only the function modules of the maintenance dialogs you want to delete, that is, if it would be empty after deleting the function modules.

You have to delete the following elements separately:

  • Enter the table or view name in the generation environment and choose Start of the navigation path Environment Next navigation step Change Next navigation step Interface End of the navigation path. The Maintain User Interface Assignment dialog box appears.

  • Choose Delete. The system deletes the user interface if the User Interface flag is not set.

If User Interface flag is set, another dialog lists the tables or views that use the interface. Choose Delete again to delete the user interface and control information.
