Defining Validity Periods of Customizing TablesLocate this document in the navigation structure

Procedure

The Human Resources component (HR) contains time-dependent tables. The validity period is in the key of time-dependent tables. An example of a time-dependent table is the table with contributions for pension insurance. The records change with time and are therefore only valid up to a certain date.

To maintain values for any validity period, choose Start of the navigation path Edit Next navigation step Limit Validity End of the navigation path.

In the view or in view cluster, only the last validity period is displayed with its value.

Choose Start of the navigation path Edit Next navigation step Expand/Collapse to End of the navigation path:

  • Display the previous ranges for the validity period, with values ( Expand)

  • "Hide" the displayed previous ranges and values for the validity period again, so that only the last valid duration is displayed ( Collapse).

Note

For views or view clusters without a validity period, these options are not available.
