Use

You process the comparisons created by the Cross-System Viewer in various ways:

  • Maintenance Functions

    With these functions you can execute comparisons and adjustments.

  • Comparison functions

    With these functions you can manage the comparison run.

  • Utilities and Other Functions

Procedure

You reach the following functions using the change mode of a comparison run.

Maintenance Functions

Individual Comparison

With this function you execute a comparison of an individual object.

Interactive adjustment

Adjust the differences between clients.

New dialog comparison

Start of the navigation path Edit Next navigation step Neu Comparison End of the navigation path

Compare all selected objects in dialog.

New background comparison

Start of the navigation path Edit Next navigation step New Comparison in Background End of the navigation path

Compare all selected objects in the background.

Set processing status

Start of the navigation path Edit Next navigation step Set Editing Status End of the navigation path

Sets the processing status of the selected objects.

Select

Start of the navigation path Edit Next navigation step Select End of the navigation path followed by the required function

Choose one of:

Select All Deselect All Select Deselect Select area Select/Deselect objects for comparison.

Select/Deselect objects for comparison. select/deselect objects for comparison You can select or deselect all objects, some objects or a block of objects

Sort

Start of the navigation path Edit Next navigation step Sort... End of the navigation path or choose the Sort pushbutton.

Specify your object sort criterion in the following dialog box, by object name, object type, object description, or application component.

Specify whether to sort in ascending or descending order.

Set overall status

Set the overall status of the comparison.

Toggle between change and display mode

Start of the navigation path Comparison Run Next navigation step Display <-> Change End of the navigation path or choose the symbol for Display <-> Change.

You can toggle between display and change mode if the comparison is not locked by another user. You can view the comparison even if you are running a comparison in the background.

Refresh display

Start of the navigation path Comparison Run Next navigation step Update Display End of the navigation path or choose the Update Display pushbutton.

This functoin refreshes the display.

Statistics

A statistical overview of the differences and object type lists.

Application Component

The part of the application component hierarchy for the selected objects.

IMG environment

Start of the navigation path Goto Next navigation step IMG Environment End of the navigation path or choose the IMG Environment pushbutton.

The IMG activities for the selected objects.

Legend

Start of the navigation path Utilities Next navigation step Legend End of the navigation path or choose the symbol for Legend.

The possible comparison and processing status values. The legend also contains a list of object types.

Filter

Start of the navigation path Utilities Next navigation step Filter End of the navigation path or choose the symbol for Filter.

Filter the object display by processing status, comparison status, or object type.
