As is also the case in ADK-based archiving, you can display and work with management information for XML DAS archiving sessions. However, there are some differences, which are explained in this section.
During XML DAS archiving, a section of the XML DAS hierarchy is displayed in each status area on the overview screen. The home path of the archiving object used with the collections created by the application is displayed. A collection corresponds to one archiving session. A collection can also contain several archiving sessions.
Status
As is the case for ADK-based archiving, the archiving sessions are organized according to their status.
More information: Archive Administration: Overview of Archiving Sessions.
The technical features of XML DAS archiving mean that the following statuses are possible:
Status |
Description |
---|---|
Archiving Sessions with Errors |
The write process terminated before the first resource was archived. |
Incomplete Archiving Sessions |
The write process has not been completed, the deletion program did not run for all resources or a write process was terminated. |
Completed Archiving Sessions |
Both the write process and the delete phase were completed successfully. |
Invalid Archiving Sessions |
The archiving session has been marked as invalid. |
Archiving Sessions Flagged for Archiving |
The administration data for the archiving session can be archived using archiving object BC_ARCHIVE. |
Interrupted |
The archiving session was interrupted. This was done either manually by the user or because the interruption parameters were reached (for example, the maximum runtime or a total number of data). |
Job Activities
Job activities are defined as follows:
A job is available for the archiving session with the status Scheduled, Ready or Active.
A terminated job is available for the archiving session.
