Application Connection to Object ServicesLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

Application developers who want to use the object services for their Business Objects can access them through a small number of program steps. There you can decide which object services you want to offer and how the object services are to be offered (for example, in the toolbox or in the context menu).

Prerequisites

The generic object services can only be used for objects of the Business Object Repository Browser (BOR). Your object type must therefore be created and released in the BOR. For further information see Creating Object Types.

Process

Publish your business object. Here, you can use one of the procedures listed below to help you.

Description

Procedure

This step first depends on whether your object is unique or was first determined dynamically.

Normally, the services are offered in the toolbox, which can be called using the symbol next to the title.

Note

You can always only publish one object. If you publish several objects, then it is always the case that only the last publication is valid. Publishing several objects at the same time is not supported in order to achieve a user interaction. The services always refer to the object currently called.
