Configuring the XI Sender AdapterLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

Configure an XI sender adapter in the Integration Server so that a PCK can send messages to the Integration Server.

Procedure
  1. Transport Protocol is HTTP 1.0 .

  2. Message Protocol in the Integration Server is XI 3.0 .

  3. Adapter Engine is Integration Server in the Integration Server.

Define Security Settings

  1. If you want to make additional settings for encrypting or validating messages in the relevant sender agreement, choose Select Security Profile .

The Security Profile is Web Services Security .

Define Security Check for Inbound Messages

  1. Select the HTTP Security Level :

    • HTTP

    • HTTPS Without Client Authentication

    • HTTPS with Client Authentication

If you have selected HTTPS with or without client authentication, only those messages are accepted which are sent using an HTTP connection with the specified security settings.

Technical Settings

  1. Specify after how many seconds a timeout is to occur for synchronous communication.

The specified value is part of the message and is forwarded to all stations that the message passes on its way to the receiver. The value overrides all timeouts that are set locally.

  2. If an inbound message is to be saved after a message split and not directly after arrival, choose Skip First Persistency .

This achieves an improvement in performance.

If the first persistency is skipped and an error occurs in the message processing, an error message is sent to the sender of the message.

    Note

You can also use the parameter SKIP_INBOUND_PERS of the category RUNTIME when configuring the Integration Engine. With this parameter you are globally activating the skipping of the first persistency for messages that arrive at the Integration Engine from the Business Process Engine or the Advanced Adapter Engine.
