
You can use this report to check documents in KM repositories for viruses. You can choose to clean infected documents (where possible) or delete them.
The virus scan service is preconfigured in the configuration of Content Management. For more information, see Virus Scanner Service .
The system uses an anti-virus program from a third-party vendor. You need to connect this to the system in the configuration. The report always uses the default profile set in the configuration.
You can configure the following settings for this report.

You can restrict the report to certain repositories or folders (including all subordinate folders). Specify all repositories and folders that are to be searched. |

Defines whether the system is to check all documents or only newly-uploaded documents. If you are operating the virus scan service in read mode ( Check Write parameter is inactive), you can allow the report to run with an inactive All option to check newly-uploaded documents. |

Delete |
Defines whether infected files are deleted automatically. You can also delete files manually in the results list. |

Clean |
Defines whether viruses are automatically cleaned from infected files (where possible) You can also clean files manually in the results list. |
If you activate Delete and Clean , the system tries to clean infected files before deleting them. Only if the system cannot clean up a file, does it delete it.
