Creating Language-Specific MIME ObjectsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use
Caution

In general it is not recommended to make use of language dependent MIME objects.

You can use language-specific MIME objects to create graphics with embedded text, special texts or audio files for those languages with which you have logged onto the system.

Note

Language-specific MIME objects are not included in the normal SAP translation workflow; they are handled in a separate translation process.

Prerequisites

You must already have created the corresponding Internet service.

Procedure

To create a language-specific MIME object for an Internet service from the tree display in the object list:

  1. Right-click the name of the service.

  2. Choose Start of the navigation path Create Next navigation step Language-specific Mime End of the navigation path from the context menu.

The dialog box informs you that the language-specific MIME objects are a special case.

  3. Confirm this with Yes.

  4. Select the file to be copied from the file directory.

  5. Enter a Theme in the dialog box.

You can now change the name of the MIME object or create a subdirectory. To create a subdirectory, enter an appropriate subdirectory in the Name field and separate it from the name of the MIME object with a slash ("/").

  6. Choose Confirm.

The system then displays the Web Application Builder: Create Language Dependent MIME Objects dialog box.

  7. Assign a Package to the template and choose Save.

Result

The MIME object was stored in the Repository as an independent object. The language is defined by the logon language.
