Align Multiple Controls

You can align controls as follows:

  • Left-aligned

  • Right-aligned

  • Top

  • Bottom

  • Middle

With right and left alignment, the system treats fields that are next to each other as a group and moves them together. The gaps between fields that are next to each other are retained.

The top or bottom alignment only has an effect on fields that are listed next to each other.

Horizontal and Vertical Control Distribution

You can distribute the selected controls evenly across the entire width or height of the form.

Group Controls

If you group multiple controls, you can then move the entire group together.

Cut, Copy, Paste

You can copy controls or groups of controls to a clipboard and insert them into forms from there.

  1. Optional: To display a preview of the table structure, choose ( table structure preview ).

To display forms in the portal, the system generates an HTML table with invisible frames ( borders ). The table structure preview displays these frames.

    Note

This function is only available if you have used relative positioning. For more information, see Form Properties .
