Activating VersioningLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

When you activate versioning in a folder, the system creates a new version as soon as you change a document or its properties.

Prerequisites

You have write permission for the folder.

Procedure
  1. Open the Details dialog box for the folder.

  2. Choose Start of the navigation path Settings  Next navigation step Versioning End of the navigation path.

  3. Choose Activate Versioning .

    Note

    If you activate or deactivate versioning in a folder, this does not affect subfolders that already exist.

    If you first activate versioning and then crate new subfolders, versioning is active in the subfolders by default.

    Note

    If you deactivate versioning, only the last version of each document is retained.

Display versions

To display a list of versions for a document, choose Start of the navigation path Settings Next navigation step Versions End of the navigation path in the Details dialog box for the document.

The following functions are available for these versions:

  • Display

  • Restore

  • Delete
