Initial Content for Users

Use

SAP Enterprise Portal offers initial content for a standard user. Your entire range of portal content depends on the roles to which your portal administrator assigned you.

The following Knowledge Management and Collaboration content is available to all users:

You can find initial content for users in the top-level navigation area under Home .

Top-Level Navigation	Detailed Navigation	Description
Company	News	Company-internal news, a link list made available centrally, and a quick poll iView for carrying out company-internal polls. For more information, see Managing Polls and Managing Link Lists .
Department Info Sites	Information pages on the departments within your company.
Communities	Communities that employees from different departments can use to exchange information on common themes.
Discussions with Other Users	Company-wide forum in which you can take part in discussions.
Document Search	Allows you to search for documents throughout the entire company.
Work	Overview	Your universal worklist and your calendar. For more information, see Managing Tasks and Alerts in the Universal Worklist .
Personal documents	Your personal folder for uploading documents. You can access these documents from any PC on which you have access to SAP Enterprise Portal.
Teams	Projects	Project rooms
Meetings	Meeting rooms
Team rooms	Team rooms
My Rooms	Rooms in which you are a member. For more information, see Standard Templates .
Session Records	Your session records
Documents	Overview	Navigation in KM folders using user-specific entry points. For more information, see Entry Points . Users should be able to use the displayed entry points to navigate to all KM folders for which they have access permissions.
Document Search	Allows you to search for documents throughout the entire company.
Subscriptions	Overview of all of your subscriptions. You can cancel your subscriptions or change the settings for them here. For more information, see Notifications .
Deleted Items	You can either permanently delete items in KM folders or move them to the Deleted Items iView. As long as you have not permanently deleted an item, you can display it in the Deleted Items iView and restore it, if necessary.
