Content administration is for managing the following types of KM-related content:
Portal Content: iViews in which you access KM functions and other Portal Content Directory items. For more information, see Initial Portal Content .
KM Content: Objects that are stored in KM repositories and tools for managing them.
The Portal Content and KM Content worksets are integrated in the Content Administration role of SAP NetWeaver Portal. For more information on the preconfigured roles of SAP NetWeaver Portal, see Understanding Preconfigured Portal Roles .
In the portal, you can find the KM Content page at It allows you access to all folders and documents that are stored in internal or external repositories. For more information, see KM Content .
As a content administrator, you use the Toolbox node in the detailed navigation as follows:
You use the Permissions entry to define the permissions.

You use the Folder Settings entry to reset the layout settings for folders.

You use the Reports entry to run system-wide analyses and functions, as well as to manage the archiving of KM content.

You use the Archiving entry to administer Knowledge Management and Collaboration (KMC) archiving objects.
