Use

In addition to the initial setup of your AS Java, you can fine tune your system by a set of configuration tasks performed on demand.

Tasks

  • Configuring Instances - shows you how to manage Java instances by enabling or disabling them; viewing and editing their debug properties and so on.

  • Activating a Configuration Template - describes how to change the default system configuration template by applying a new template.

  • Adding Filters - describes how to add filters to activate or deactivate system components (services, libraries, and applications) according to the particular usage of your system.

  • Configuring JVM Parameters - provides information about viewing and editing the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) parameters.

  • Core System Modules - describes the AS Java core modules, which contain the manager components responsible for the core functions of the system, and guidelines for their configuration. During installation a configuration template is applied. The template contains the optimal values for the parameters of the core system modules, based on the scenario in which you will run your AS Java system, your operational system, and your hardware resources. We recommend that you reconfigure the core system modules only after performance testing and consideration of the implications of such reconfiguration.
