Use

Based on inbound and outbound messages, application data from applications can be distributed to the BW system using XI.

The XI inbound message obtains application data using the RFC, IDoc, or http (XML) protocol. Using mapping programs, data is bundled into a XI outbound message on the integration server. This message generates an ABAP proxy on the BW server. In this method, data can be written to the BW system.
