Activating Synchronous Collaboration Service TypesLocate this document in the navigation structure

Context

The Synchronous Collaboration Framework (SCF) allows the integration of synchronous collaboration services. The following synchronous collaboration service providers can be used:

  • Real Time Collaboration (RTC)

    RTC - the default SAP service provider for synchronous collaboration - provides the application sharing and instant messaging services.

  • WebEx

    A separate license is required to use WebEx. During installation of the collaboration capabilities (with the SAP NetWeaver usage type Enterprise Portal), the services for synchronous collaboration are not activated automatically. You need to activate the corresponding service types manually as described below.

Procedure

  1. In the portal, choose Start of the navigation path System Administration Next navigation step System Configuration Next navigation step Collaboration Next navigation step Synchronous Collaboration Services Next navigation step Activated Service Types End of the navigation path
  2. Activate the following service types:

    • RTC Application Sharing

    • WebEx Meeting Center
