The Analysis and Repair of BW Objects screen (transaction RSRV) allows you to carry out various checks for:
Testing for inconsistencies between the data in the InfoCube on the database and the data in the BW accelerator index (tests in the BW Accelerator Consistency Checks area)
Testing whether a SAP NetWeaver BW Accelerator index is running with optimized performance (tests under BW Accelerator Performance Checks)
Completely or partially building or rebuilding all BW accelerator indexes or a specific BW accelerator index (tests under BW Accelerator Repair Programs)
The exactness and duration of each of these checks vary.
You can find out more about building and using the analysis and repair environment under Analysis and Repair Environment. You can find out more about the tests for BWA indexes under Tests for BWA Indexes in Transaction RSRV.
The SAP NetWeaver BW Accelerator index you want to check has been activated and filled with data.
Some tests work with statistical data (see Propose Delta Index for Indexes, Compare Size of Fact Tables with Fact Index).
The statistics must have been activated for the relevant InfoProviders. You make this setting on the statistics properties maintenance screen (choose Data Warehousing Workbench screen). More information: Statistics for Maintenance Processes in SAP NetWeaver BW Accelerator Indexes.
