Web Dynpro Console provides support for analyzing performance problems encountered by users, especially when problems manifest themselves as delayed response times. Delayed response times for a query can be caused by:
· Poor performance in the Web Dynpro framework
· Problems with the client, such as the browser
· Poor performance in the Web Dynpro application itself
· Unacceptable performance in the Web Dynpro model or back end
· Java Engine overload
· Incorrect settings in the J2EE Engine
Web Dynpro Console is also a tool used for monitoring Java Web Dynpro applications. It is delivered with Java Engine and is a standard component in the SAP NetWeaver Portal.
You have administrator rights for Java Engine or for the portal. If you do not have these administrator rights, you will be unable to execute certain performance measurements.
When you call Web Dynpro Console, a tree appears in the top left-hand section of the user interface. This tree serves as the user menu. Depending on your authorization role, you can call the functions assigned to your role in the various tree nodes. The role of the user currently logged on is displayed above the tree. To access the required data or to perform the measurements, navigate in the tree to the corresponding tree nodes. The user menu is made up of the following main areas:
