When Does ITS Synchronize?Locate this document in the navigation structure

Use

This process describes when the Internet Transaction Server (ITS) synchronizes.

Process

The Internet Transaction Server (ITS) synchronizes (that is, sends an AWSY or AWSS OK code to the Web transaction) only if there is an actual SAP system screen change between the current HTML page and the page to which the user is navigating. The ITS can detect changes either in the main screen or in a screen's subscreens.

Example

The ITS never synchronizes unless a screen change actually occurs. The following example illustrates this:

The application is an employee directory. Using a search button, you can look up all employees matching a certain pattern. If more than 100 employees are displayed, the user can use the Next Page button to display the next 100 employees.

Scrolling back and forth between the page with the first 100 employees and the page with the next 100 employees does not cause the ITS to synchronize, because there is no change in the underlying SAP system screen.
