Message Search Using IndexLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

Using this function, you can search for messages that were previously indexed. To do this, you require the Search and Classification Engine TREX for indexing and searching documents.

Prerequisites

You have set up and activated the message indexing on the different components by using the index administration .

Note

When message indexing is activated, the messages are not available immediately in the index. This depends on your current TREX configuration.

You have started the Runtime Workbench , are in message monitoring , and have chosen the Index data source.

Features

Message search using index provides additional methods of searching for specific messages. In addition to static header attributes, you can also use adapter-specific message attributes and data from the main payload of a message for the search. A requirement of this, however, is that the messages are indexed first.

You can apply the index-based message search to one or all indexed components of an integration landscape (domain): Integration Server, Adapter Engines, and ABAP business systems.

The filter criteria available depend on the selected data source and the selected component. The criteria Search Text and Search Method are available specifically for the Index data source; the Adapter-Specific Message Attributes criterion is also available for this data source in the additional filter criteria section.

The message attributes available vary depending on the adapter type and can be restricted to one adapter type.

You can assign exactly one value to each available attribute. To do this, choose Add , select the required attribute, and enter a value. You can also delete such value assignments.

Activities

Enter your filter parameters and choose Start .

The system lists the messages found along with their attributes in a table. Each row of the message list displayed contains the value Index in the Data Source column.

You can display further details and perform further actions for each message displayed. For more information, see Displaying and Managing Messages .

Depending on the message selection, you may need to enter logon data for multiple components if you perform the Repeat or End actions. When using the message search using index, you can therefore deselect messages from the same components.

To get current information for one or more messages from the database, select the message(s) and choose Get From Database .
