You use this function to call information about individual components, and execute simple component tests. There are two options, namely querying the ping status and executing a self-test.
In Adapter Engines you can execute further activities that are not available in other components.
You have started the Runtime Workbench , are in component monitoring , and have displayed the required component.
To call status information for a component, select the component in the table or tree:
The system displays the tab page area.
The Ping and Self-Test functions are executed for the selected component.
The Status tab page is activated automatically and provides the following results:
CCMS status
Ping status
Result of a component self-test including detailed information
To access more detailed information, choose Ping and Self-Test Help .
To repeat the ping status query, choose Repeat Ping .
To repeat the component self-test, choose Repeat Self-Test .
If you want to archive messages with security settings, select Security Archiving .

To archive, restart, or reschedule messages by using corresponding jobs , choose Background Processing .
If you want to call information about the communication channels that have been set up for the selected Adapter Engine, or administrate them, choose Communication Channel Monitoring .
If you want to call the Monitor with status information on the Java Proxy Runtime on the chosen Adapter Engine, select JPR Monitoring .
To display the current technical data for the selected Adapter Engine, choose Engine Status .
If you want to prioritize Message Processing on the chosen Adapter Engine, select Message Prioritizing .
