Integration with SAP BusinessObjects broadens the scope of the reporting tools in Business Explorer.

Integration with SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards

Integration with SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards makes it possible to visualize BW data in dashboards. The data sources for the dashboards are BEx queries and query views. To create dashboards, you need SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards.

You open the queries and query views with the BEx 'Open' dialog in SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards. Data Manager - the part of SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards that organizes data connections - has a new connection, the SAP NetWeaver BW connection. A dashboard can be created with multiple SAP NetWeaver BW connections from a single BW system. The dashboards are saved in the BEx Save dialog on the BW server and can be transported and translated just like other BEx objects.

Navigation in the data is reduced to filters and variables. Unlike the analysis table in BEx Web Applications, the table in the dashboard is static.

Integration with Crystal Reports

The integration of Crystal Reports in SAP NetWeaver BW provides you with various options for creating formatted reports (Crystal Reports) based on BW data. Formatted reporting is especially suited for form-based reports with very limited analytical functionality. These reports are based on a query. You should give some thought to the interaction options before designing the report.

SAP NetWeaver BW also provides you with BI Content templates for reports based on BI Content queries. Using the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise server component, you can publish these reports on the Web, making them available to your users. More information: BI Content .

If you want to create your own Crystal Reports in addition to the reports delivered by SAP as BI Content, you need Crystal Reports Designer. For more information, see the documentation for Crystal Reports Designer.

BEx Web Integration in SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence

The integration of BEx Web Applications in SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence allows you to access BEx Web Applications in BI launch pad.

Authors and users can open BEx Web Applications using the BI launch pad in SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence, navigate in the data and save the BEx Web Applications in the current navigational state as bookmarks in the web browser favorites.

Integration with SAP BusinessObjects Analysis

As well as integration of SAP Business Explorer with SAP BusinessObjects products, BusinessObjects products are integrated with SAP NetWeaver BW. SAP BusinessObjects Analysis allows you to analyze SAP NetWeaver BW data in an OLAP edition and an Edition for Microsoft Office.

SAP BusinessObjects Analysis, Edition for Microsoft Office, is an add-in for Microsoft Office for multidimensional analysis of OLAP sources in Microsoft Excel, in the application design of workbooks in Microsoft Excel and for intuitive creation of BI presentations with Microsoft PowerPoint.

SAP BusinessObjects Analysis, Edition for OLAP is a tool for analyzing OLAP data.
