Creating a New Logon GroupLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

You can create a new logon group in one of the following ways:

  • Create a new logon group with no settings;

    You then configure the cluster instances and the applications that are part of this group from scratch.

  • Create a new logon group by copying an existing one;

    You then modify the settings of the original group. This is a useful method, for example, in case you need your new group to include the same cluster instances but a different application must be accessible within it.

Procedure

Creating a New Logon Group

  1. On the Logon Groups tab page, choose Create .

  2. Create Dialog screen appears. Enter the name of your logon group in New Logon Group Name .

  3. From the System Name dropdown list box, choose the system this logon group is created in.

  4. Choose OK .

Copying an Existing Logon Group

  1. On the Logon Groups tab page, select a logon group from the list that you want to copy.

  2. To create the logon group with the same settings, choose Copy .

  3. Create Dialog screen appears. Enter the name of your logon group in New Logon Group Name .

  4. Choose OK .
