Use

Choose Start of the navigation path InfoCube Maintenance Next navigation step Edit Next navigation step Analyze InfoCube End of the navigation path and check the data consistency of an InfoCube according to various technical aspects.

Prerequisites

To do this, you need a detailed, technical understanding of the data structure in BW, preferably, you are an administrator.

You have created an InfoCube, and would like to use it in reporting.

Features

The screen provides you with a series of check options that are broken down into the following categories:

  • Information about the InfoCube

  • InfoCube definition

  • InfoCube fact table, dimensions, SID table, master data table

  • Tests with the entry of additional parameters

After you have carried out one or more checks, you receive a status message in the form of traffic light symbols (red, yellow, green).

Functions

Execute: Using this function, you can start one or more of the checks you selected from the list.

Execute in the Background: Using this function, you can start one or more of the checks you selected from the list and generate a print list. This is particularly useful with larger InfoCubes, where checks can be very time consuming and would result in a timeout if executed directly.

Results: You can use this function to display the results of your checks.

  • Gray: Comment

  • Yellow: Warning

  • Red: Error

Repair: If this function is available, you can use it to automatically repair errors that have arisen.

Information: This function displays additional information about a check that you chose previously by clicking it.
