The following tasks are required for implementing OBN:
The developer creates an application with one of the following:
An OBN link that specifies a business object, or a business object and operation.
For more information, see Creating an OBN Link (Portal Runtime) or Creating an OBN Link (Web Dynpro) .
A context menu that provides all the possible OBN links for a specific business object and the current user.

The administrator does the following tasks that affect what navigation target is displayed for an OBN navigation link:
Creates business objects, and creates operations for each business object.
Assigns iViews and pages to the operations.

The administrator is also responsible for creating roles and assigning users to roles, which is not specific to OBN. For more information, see Creating and Editing Freestyle Roles and Worksets and Assigning Portal Roles to Users and Groups .
